LASU SUG gives update on NELFUND Refund

The leadership of the Lagos State University Students' Union (LASUSU), led by the Union President, Comr. Adebayo Korede Peter accompanied by the Public Relations Officer, earlier today met with the Management to obtain an update on the issues surrounding NELFUND school fees payments and upkeep.

During the meeting, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor confirmed that the University has received funds covering close to 7,500 students who benefitted from the NELFUND scheme. He assured the Union that the necessary administrative processes are currently underway and that the refunds will be credited to the respective accounts of the affected students very soon.

Students are therefore advised to remain calm and patient while the University concludes the required procedures for the disbursement.

Furthermore, students should note that there is no requirement to write any letter regarding the refund process. However, those who wish to verify their names or confirm their status may visit the Office of the Deputy Director, Directorate of Special Intervention at the 3rd floor senate building for further clarification.

LASUSU remains committed to engaging with the University management and relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency and the timely resolution of matters affecting student welfare.
