LAUTECH VC bows to pressure, leaves office

The embattled vice-chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Professor Olufisayo Ologunde, has accepted to ‘step aside’ as directed by the Oyo state Governor, Seyi Makinde.

This comes after Makinde directed the Vice-Chancellor to step aside until further notice, following allegations of instigating workers of the university to agitate payment of unpaid salaries immediately after the Oyo state government took over ownership of the institution

In his concession speech, Ologunde said further questions on the matter should be directed to LAUTECH’s Public Relations Officer.
