Federal Polytechnic Bida, North Central, Nigeria was established in 1977 and started full academic session in April 1978 with just 211 students and a staff strength of 11 senior staff and 33 junior staff nut today it has grown to become one of the best Polytechnics in Nigeria.

Federal Polytechnic Bida is located at KM 1.5, Doko Road, Bida. Niger State, North Central, Nigeria.

The NBTE (National Board for Technical Education) is the agency of the Federal government of Nigeria responsible for approval of license and coordination of Colleges of Education and Polytechnics activities in Nigeria. Just like the NUC, the NBTE has the power to approve and disapprove courses offered in any College of Education or Polytechnic (State and Federal)
