Man apprehended for impersonating his wife during teachers recruitment

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), on Wednesday, 10 February arrested a man believed to be an imposter at the ongoing teacher’s recruitment exercise at the College of Education, Ilesa CBT center, Osun state.

The man was apprehended by the security operatives and accused ofΒ impersonating his wife after his passport photograph was said not to have matched with the photo records of applicants stored on the database of the Ministry of Education.

A statement issued by the Information Officer at the Ministry of Education, Roseline Olawuni, Condemned the act, describing it as shameful and embarrassing for a prospective teacher to be found committing such a disgraceful crime.

The statement further warned people to desist from cutting corners, and rather stick to the path of integrity.

The suspect has since been handed over to the law enforcement agents for further investigation and prosecution.
