Man Arrested For Issuing Fake Nysc Call Up Letters

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Richard Olayinka for allegedly parading himself as a staff a University, and issuing fake National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), call-up letters.

Olayinka claimed to be a member of the Osun State University (UNIOSUN), allegedly issued NYSC call-up letters to four students who were not cleared due to their outstanding courses.

The fake call-up letters were discovered at the camp when the students reported at the NYSC Lagos State orientation camp in Iyana Ipaja on November 26th.

Meanwhile, the suspect was arraigned in a Lagos Magistrate’s Court, he was charged with forgery, stealing and impersonation.

The defendant pleaded not guilty before the presiding magistrate, Mrs T. Akanni, and was granted bail in the sum of N350,000.
