According to an internal memo issued by the Office of the Registrar on February 18, 2026, the new schedule will take effect throughout the Ramadan fast. The directive, signed by Registrar Mustafa U. Migawa, aims to ease the fast for observing staff.
Effective immediately, working hours are structured as follows:
Β· Mondays to Thursdays: Reporting time remains at 8:00 am, but closing time is moved up to 3:00 pm.
Β· Fridays: Staff are to report at 8:00 am and close at 1:30 pm.
Staff members have been advised to strictly observe the revised times for the duration of the period.
"The university wishes all members of staff a happy and fulfilling fasting period," the statement added. The memo was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellors, Deans, Directors, and all departmental heads for implementation and awareness.
