Mysterious Fire Guts UNN Old Student’s Affairs Building:

A mysterious fire has gutted the old Students’ Affairs Unit of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

A source disclosed that the inferno occurred at about 10:30pm last Monday.

The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the ugly incident.

A statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Enugu by the command’s public relations officer, Ebere Amaraizu said the command has commenced investigation into the sad development.

He stated that no life was lost in the inferno, adding that “Indication about the likely cause is pointing towards the direction of electrical fault, although no life was reported to have been lost”.

“It was gathered that the alleged incident  happened at about 10:35pm of 14/4/14 affecting old student affairs building which was earlier dismantled for reconstruction.It was further gathered that the old files and wood also got burnt.
