BUK notice on NELFUND application for 2025/2026 session

The management of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a notice to newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session regarding the application process for institutional charges and upkeep loans.

According to a statement signed by Lamara Garba, mnipr, Director of Public Affairs (for the Registrar), students who have completed their screening and wish to apply must take note of the following:

· All required and appropriate documents must be properly uploaded.

· Applications for both institutional charges and upkeep loans should be submitted simultaneously.

· The use of microfinance bank wallet accounts (e.g., Opay, Moniepoint) is discouraged.

· Unnecessary or special characters should be avoided during application.

· Email addresses and passwords must be accurate, well known, and securely kept.

Students are advised to visit the official portal: portal.nelf.gov.ng to complete their applications.

The notice urges applicants to adhere strictly to the guidelines to avoid delays or disqualification.
