SAZU Students Council update on NELFUND Disbursement
The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Bauchi State, has released an official update regarding the ongoing NELFUND disbursement for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Addressing the growing concerns within the student body, the Council confirmed that it is actively investigating why the institution currently appears to be behind in the disbursement phase compared to other universities. The SRC noted that while many efforts occur behind the scenes, their primary focus remains on securing a timely solution for all eligible students.
Leadership clarified that "significant progress" has been made, and funds are expected to be disbursed as soon as the mandatory reviews and verification processes are finalized by the relevant authorities.
The Council has urged students to avoid unverified reports or speculations—specifically claims suggesting the institution has been excluded from the fund—stating that such misinformation only causes unnecessary panic.
In a statement signed by the SRC President, the Council apologized for the delay in communication and thanked the students for their continued patience and cooperation during this period.
