Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has released an official circular to address misleading information currently circulating among students regarding the verification of the NERD Clearance Slip.

According to the statement, students have been wrongly advised to return to their institutions for verification or stamping of their clearance slips. NERD has clearly stated that this directive is false.

The approved method for verifying the NERD Clearance Slip is as follows:

• Scan the barcode on the NERD Clearance Slip.
• Once scanned, the student's details will automatically be displayed.
• If the displayed information matches your details and is correct, your clearance is valid.
• If the information is incorrect or belongs to another student, contact NERD Support immediately.
• If the barcode fails to scan, reach out to NERD Support for assistance.
