SAZU SRC notice to 2024/2025 NELFUND beneficiaries

The Office of the President, Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), has released an official update regarding the disbursement of funds to the 2024/2025 beneficiaries.

​In a statement signed by the SRC President, Comr. Iliyasu Umar Adamu, on January 23, 2026, the council confirmed that many students who previously faced bank account challenges have now been successfully credited after resubmitting their correct details.

​Ongoing Payment Challenges

​Despite the progress, the SRC highlighted that a small group of students are still facing difficulties:

​Incorrect Bank Details: Four (4) beneficiaries are still experiencing issues because the submitted bank information remains incorrect.

​Failed Transfers (Tier 1 Limits): Two (2) other beneficiaries recorded failed transfers. The council attributed this to Tier 1 account limitations, which often restrict the maximum amount a bank account can receive in a single transaction.

​Resolution Strategy

​To ensure no eligible student is left out, the Bursary Department has outlined a specific troubleshooting plan. They intend to resolve the Tier 1 limit issues by splitting the payments and retrying the transfers to fit within the students' account capacities.

​The SRC leadership expressed gratitude to the student body for their patience during this administrative process. President Adamu assured all concerned that the council is working closely with the university's financial department to ensure every eligible beneficiary receives their payment.
