Nigerian Law School addresses payment issues, extends registration deadline

The Nigerian Law School has issued a public notice addressing concerns over alleged non-validation of student payments circulating online.

According to the management, the institution operates a fully automated online registration system where payments are verified electronically using the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) generated on the Remita platform. The system, it noted, has ensured a seamless and transparent payment validation process for most applicants, with over 7,267 studentsβ€”representing more than 90%β€”successfully completing their registration.

However, the school acknowledged that a limited number of applicants have encountered validation challenges. These issues were attributed to factors such as multiple payments made in installments, underpayment of fees, payments made under different names, reuse of already utilized RRRs, and claims of payment without verifiable evidence. Affected students have been advised to contact Remita for assistance.

Despite these challenges, the institution emphasized its responsiveness in resolving issues beyond the call of duty. Students experiencing difficulties are encouraged to promptly verify their payment status through their respective campus channels.

In a bid to accommodate prospective students who recently completed the NYSC programme, the Nigerian Law School has extended the registration deadline to Thursday, April 9, 2026.
