The management of Ecclesian Theological University (ETU) has officially congratulated its graduating class while outlining key requirements for clearance and the release of certificates.

In a circular released today, the university confirmed that all graduating students must submit previous academic certificates and payment receipts for final clearance by March 27, 2026. Additionally, a mandatory “appreciation contribution” of ₦10,000 to lecturers has been stipulated, with management warning that non-compliance will result in the withholding of certificates.

The physical graduation ceremony is scheduled for September 2026 in Benin City. However, the university noted that students with urgent needs for their certificates may apply for early issuance, provided they present verifiable evidence of their circumstances.

A joint committee of lecturers and student representatives is to be constituted to finalize arrangements for the ceremony, including logistics, fees, and the invitation of guests. Students are advised to prepare financially.

In a move to celebrate academic excellence, the institution will confer special recognition on outstanding graduates, including First, Second, and Third Prize winners, alongside awards for Class Prefects and individuals who have significantly contributed to the university’s development.

The circular was copied to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bright Osazuwa; the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Benson J. O.; and the Coordinator/Registrar, Pst. Chap. Major John Yakubu, Ph.D.
