Northwest University, Kano postpones midsemester break for 2nd semester, 2024/2025

Northwest University, Kano has officially announced the postponement of the Mid-Semester Break for the ongoing Second Semester of the 2024/2025 academic session.

In a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar and signed by Head, DEAR Jafaru Sule Muhammad, the new schedule, approved by the Vice-Chancellor, is as follows:

· Mid-Semester Break: Monday, 16th February to Sunday, 21st February, 2026 (1 week)

· Second Semester Examinations: Monday, 23rd February to Saturday, 14th March, 2026 (3 weeks)

The notice, referenced REG/DEAR/004/VOL1/085, was directed to all Deans of Faculties, Academic Directors, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, the Director of ICT, and the Head of the Public Relations Unit. The recipients have been instructed to give the circular the widest publicity to ensure all students and staff are informed.

The university management has called for full compliance with the revised academic calendar.
