Northwest University, Kano notice on new examination regulations
The management of Northwest University, Kano (NWU), through the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and the Studentsβ Affairs Division, has released a circular outlining new examination regulations ahead of the forthcoming examinations.
The circular, dated February 13, 2026 and signed by the Dean of Studentsβ Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Musa, follows directives from the University Management and resolutions of the University Examination Committee.
According to the notice, children, including babies and toddlers, will no longer be allowed into examination halls. Nursing mothers are advised to make use of the University crèche (day-care centre) located at the Hajia Rabi Dantata Building on the main campus for the care and supervision of their children during examination periods.
The University also emphasized that students must bring their University identity cards and examination slips to every examination, and these must be clearly displayed on their desks throughout the examination.
In addition, phones and bags are strictly prohibited in examination halls, as the University stated it will no longer entertain cases of theft involving such items.
The management urged all students to comply strictly with the regulations to ensure a smooth and orderly examination process.
