UNIUYO Engineering Students Association notice to final year students on screening deadline
The Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA), University of Uyo Chapter, has released a detailed notice to all final year engineering students regarding the upcoming academic screening scheduled to begin on 7 April 2026.
In a statement signed by the association’s president, H.E. Comr. James Anietie, students are required to submit four files along with signed course forms from 100 level to 500 level. All course forms must bear the signatures of all assigned offices. Additionally, students must present evidence of payment for faculty and departmental dues from 100 to 500 level.
The notice emphasized that failure to comply before the April 7 deadline would mean affected students would have to wait for the next screening set.
Other key directives include:
· Screening is strictly by personal appearance — no proxies allowed.
· All final year students are automatically qualified for screening.
· Decent dressing is mandatory: no shorts, no long or indecent beards, and no inappropriate appearances.
· Punctuality is strictly enforced: screening runs from 10am to 3pm; latecomers will be placed under “spillover.”
· Missing one’s screening date requires waiting for a supplementary list.
· School fees and fee clearance must be stamped and signed.
· Students with a letter of suspension must present it.
· Direct entry students must provide their entry certificates (not transcripts).
· Original documents must be brought separately, along with one photocopy of each. Originals will be returned.
· Date of birth must match JAMB portal records.
· Change of name requires an accompanying letter.
· Old students must write their names at the faculty office for forwarding to the records unit.
· All outstanding issues with the university must be resolved before screening.
· Missing certificates require a police report and court affidavit to obtain a certified true copy.
· Any violation of hall rules could lead to cancellation of that day’s screening.
Students have been urged to comply fully to avoid being excluded from the exercise.
