NYSC directs PCMs to rectify Name Discrepancies before orientation
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) management has issued a critical directive to all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) regarding the harmonization of their personal data ahead of the upcoming orientation exercise.
The Core Requirement: Your name on your Statement of Result or Certificate must be an exact match with the name registered on the NYSC Portal.
This notice serves as a preemptive measure to ensure a seamless registration process at the various orientation camps across the federation. Discrepancies in naming conventions often lead to significant delays or the inability of PCMs to be properly documented in camp.
If your names do not tally across your documents and the portal, you are advised to:
- Contact Your Institution: Reach out to your graduating university or polytechnic immediately.
- Data Alignment: Ensure the institution updates its records to reflect the correct sequence and spelling of your name.
- Verification: Confirm that these changes are successfully reflected on the NYSC portal before proceeding to camp.
The NYSC management reiterated that the responsibility for data accuracy lies with the PCM, and failure to resolve these issues beforehand may result in being turned away from the orientation grounds.
