Nysc Member Slumps And Dies During A Friendly Match

A serving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Abraham popularly called Ab has on Thursday died after he suddenly collapsed while playing football.

The corp member, Ab was said to have collapsed during the football match at the Government Technical College (GTC) field. It was a football tournament which was played by Corp members serving in Abak, Akwa Ibom but during the course of the match, he fainted on the field and died few hours later.

According to a friend of the corper and an eyewitness, Ab was quickly rushed to the hospital but died due to negligence of the doctor on duty who refused to treat him until they see his medical card.
