OAU announces 417th Inaugural Lecture

Professor Bayode I. Popoola, a distinguished Professor of Guidance and Counselling at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, is set to deliver the 417th Inaugural Lecture of the institution.

The lecture, titled "In the Multitude of Counsellors, There Is Safety," is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, by 5:00 PM at the prestigious Oduduwa Hall, OAU.

The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire. It will also be streamed live online via Google Meet for a global audience.

Professor Popoola and his family are hosting the ceremony and have extended an invitation to the university community, colleagues, and the general public to attend the lecture, which promises to offer insightful perspectives from his extensive research in guidance and counselling.
