AKSCOE SUG notice on unauthorised Easter trip

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the Akwa Ibom State College of Education (AKSCOE), Afaha Nsit Chapter, has issued an urgent disclaimer regarding a purported Easter trip arrangement currently circulating within the student community.

In an official memorandum released today, the SUG President, Comr. Gideon Aniefiok Henry, alerted the student body to reports of a group of individuals allegedly organizing vehicles to enter the school premises. These vehicles were intended to transport students to Ikot Ekpene for an "Easter gift program."

The SUG leadership has stated categorically that the activity is neither verified nor endorsed by the Students’ Union Government or the College Management. President Henry emphasized that his office has no prior knowledge of the event or its organizers.

"Any student who decides to go does so entirely at his or her own risk, and the Union will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from such actions."

Citing concerns over student welfare, the Union has strongly advised all students to stay clear of the arrangement. The memorandum highlights that the SUG cannot guarantee the intentions or the safety of those involved in this unverified program.

Students are encouraged to remain vigilant and ensure that any program they participate in is officially approved by the appropriate campus authorities. The SUG maintains that seeking proper information through official channels is vital for maintaining security within the "Kavod Republic."

Signed:
Comr. Gideon Aniefiok Henry
SUG President, AKSCOE Campus
