Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit SUG bans unauthorized meetings and events

The leadership of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) at the Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit, has released a high-priority directive regarding the conduct of campus activities. Effective immediately, all unauthorized meetings and events are strictly prohibited.

The notice, issued by Comr. Gideon Aniefiok Henry, follows observations that certain bodies, including the SUG Senate, have been convening official events without proper clearance from the School Management and the SUG executive office.

Moving forward, all events organized by SUG organs, committees, associations, or affiliated bodies must obtain formal approval through a two-step process:

  • The Provost: Approval must be routed through the Office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs.
  • The SUG President: Final clearance must be obtained from the Office of the SUG President.

Warning: Any event held without these specific approvals will be deemed unauthorized, null, and void. Culpable individuals or groups will face disciplinary actions as outlined in the institution's regulations and the SUG constitution.

The directive aims to restore institutional order, ensure campus discipline, and foster better coordination among the various student bodies within the "Kavod Republic."

Signed:
Comr. Gideon Aniefiok Henry
SUG President
