BUK SUG update on NELFUND disbursement

The Students’ Union Government (SUG-BUK) acknowledges the concerns expressed regarding the NELFUND disbursement and recognizes the urgency attached to this matter.

We wish to firmly state that the Union has been consistently engaged from the very beginning and remains actively engaged at all levels. Through sustained and strategic interactions with the University Management, the NELFUND Desk Office, and other relevant stakeholders, we are continuously working—and still engaging—to ensure that the process is fair, transparent, and expedited in the best interest of our students.

While measurable progress is being made, it is important to understand that the disbursement process involves multiple layers of coordination beyond the direct control of the Union. Nevertheless, we have not relented in our efforts and will continue to intensify our engagements until all legitimate concerns are adequately addressed.

We sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and maturity demonstrated by our students. We urge you to remain calm, united, and law-abiding, as we collectively work towards a positive resolution.
