OOU SUG notice on adjustment of transport fare within the campus

The Olabisi Onabanjo University Transport Committee (OOUSUTC) remains fully committed to your service and welfare. We are actively working towards sustainable solutions to current transportation challenges within the school to reduce bus scarcity and improve movement for all students.

We are pleased to announce that the Makopolo Bus has resumed operations as of last week, helping to ease the pressure on our transport system. Furthermore, following deliberations with transporters regarding the rising cost of fuel and operational expenses, a temporary adjustment to fares has been made.

Please note that all transport fares have been temporarily adjusted by an additional ₦50 across all routes and terminals:

• School Park to Chips, Ago Garage, Pepsi: ₦400
• School Park to Konigba, Mini Campus: ₦400
• School Park to Olopomerin, Itamerin: ₦500
• School Park to Mariam, Oru: ₦500

This fare adjustment is temporary. An agreement is in place with the relevant authorities to review and reverse these rates immediately once fuel prices reduce to ₦1000.

To further improve availability, additional vehicles are being arranged for phased deployment. Students are kindly advised to arrive early at designated boarding points to ensure timely access to buses.
