Professor Adegbite Adegoke Emmanuel has been appointed as the new acting Vice Chancellor of the Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State.

The 56-year old new acting vice-chancellor is a Professor of Botany. He obtained his first degree from the then University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State. He had his Masters of Science and Doctorate Degrees from the same Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Until his appointment, Prof. Adegbite was the Head of department, Biological Sciences Department at Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State.

Prof Adegbite is a member of Botanical Society of Nigeria, Nigerian Field Society, and Genetics Society of Nigeria His appointment takes immediate effect.
