PLASU announces new appointments for key academic and administrative positions

The Vice-Chancellor of Plateau State University, Bokkos, has approved the appointment of new officers to key positions within the university’s directorates and units. The appointments, which take effect on Monday, March 30, 2026, are for an initial period of two years.

In a memorandum issued by the Registrar, Yakubu F. Ayuba, the university announced a comprehensive list of appointments aimed at repositioning the affected departments.

Among the notable appointments are Prof. Theresa Gyang as Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Luka Dung Kim as Deputy Dean, and Dr. Rahila Dantong as Dean of Students Affairs. Prof. Buba Wufem takes over as Director of Academic Planning, while Dr. Stephen M. Daniyam has been appointed Director of University Health Services.

The university also named new leadership for several other key areas, including Dr. Benjamin Miba’am Walwai as Director of the Entrepreneurship Centre and Prof. Jurji Gomos as Director of the Career Service Center.

The Registrar noted that all handover and takeover formalities are to be completed on or before Thursday, April 2, 2026. The Vice-Chancellor also extended his sincere appreciation to the outgoing officers for their service.
