PAAU notice to staff and students on change to gate access protocol
In a move aimed at restructuring security operations on campus, the management of Prince Abubakar Audu University has announced immediate changes to the access protocols for vehicular and human traffic at two major entry points.
According to an internal memorandum issued by the Chief Security Officer, Onuib Emmanuel Attah, on March 11, 2026, both sides of the university's main gate will now be open for both entry and exit. This adjustment is expected to ease the flow of traffic for staff and students during peak hours.
However, in a contrasting measure, the memorandum stated that the stadium gate has been redesignated strictly for exit purposes. Effective immediately, no vehicles or motorcycles will be permitted to enter the campus through that route.
The notice, which was addressed to all staff and students, emphasized the need for cooperation with security personnel to avoid any embarrassment. The security chief signed off by thanking the university community for their understanding.
