EFFECT OF MASS MEDIA CAMPAIGN ON THE HIV AND AIDS MENACE IN NIGERIA
ABSTRACT
This study focused on the effect of media campaign HIV/ AIDS menace in Nigeria a case study of Enugu metropolis. The sample for this was randomly selected using stratified sampling technique. This was done to ensure that all categories of fouth in the sample were adequately represented. Out of the 160 respondent that filled the questionnaire and returned them 112 were male while 48 were females. Also as of the respondents fall within the single category while as were married. most of the respondents fell within. The age bracket of 28 and 40 and comprised of students traders and professionals. The finding of the study has shown that the mass media helped in creating the much needed awareness of AIDS score amongst the fouths in Enugu. It was also clarified that campaign actually influence the sexual behaviour of the fouths as regards sexual activities. The finding significantly show that because of the campaign the fouths especially the single ones have become dreadful and scared of the disease hence.
