THE IMPACT OF PRIVATIZATION AND COMMERCIALIZATION ON THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY

ABSTRACT
The ultimate goal of any credible and legitimate government is to ensure sustained improvement in the standard of living of the citizenry. The government usually evolves development plans that will facilitate effective mobilization, optimal allocation and efficient management of national resources. Therefore, in trying to look into the effect of privatization and commercialization to growth of the economy and proffer a way forwards a positive state of privatization and commercialization of public enterprises in Nigeria. This five chapter’s research was emanated. In this research, the necessary statistical and econometric criterion that was employed in the evaluation of the model defined. The researcher applied statistical and econometric technique to evaluate the working hypothesis.And the result shows that privatization and commercialization has a positive change to economic practice and welfare of the economy.
