Sokoto State Students Association (SOSSA) update on scholarship application

The Sokoto State Students Association (SOSSA), Sokoto State University Chapter, wishes to inform all indigenes of Sokoto State studying at the university regarding an update to the scholarship application process.

Rescheduling Announcement

The Sokoto State Scholarship Board has officially rescheduled the collection of duly filled scholarship application forms for newly admitted and returning students. Originally slated to begin on Monday, April 6th, the exercise will now commence on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, and run through Saturday, April 11th, 2026. This change was made as the original start date coincided with a public holiday.

Collection Schedule by Level

To ensure an orderly process, students are expected to appear on their designated days:

• Tuesday, April 7th: UG IV and Spill Over students.
• Wednesday, April 8th: UG III Returning students.
• Thursday, April 9th: UG II Returning students.
• Friday, April 10th: UG I & II Fresh or newly admitted students.
• Saturday, April 11th: Round-up for all remaining students.

Logistics and Venue

The exercise will take place daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Sokoto State Scholarship Board, Block 17 Shehu Kangiwa Secretariat. Students are urged to be prompt.

Required Documentation

All students must return their application forms accompanied by the following documents:

1. Completed Scholarship Application Form
2. Original and photocopies of all credentials
3. Indigene Letter
4. Confirmation of Admission
5. NIN Slip
6. Invoice/Remita or Evidence of Payment of Registration Fees
7. Two (2) Passport Photographs
