The management of Sa’adu Zungur University has released the adjusted academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. Students and staff are advised to take note of the following key dates for the first and second semesters.

FIRST SEMESTER

• Resumption & Registration: Monday, January 5th – Sunday, January 18th, 2026 (2 Weeks)
• Late Registration: Monday, January 19th – Friday, January 23rd, 2026 (5 Days)
• Lectures (All UG Students): Monday, January 5th – Friday, April 3rd, 2026 (13 Weeks)
• Matriculation & Orientation (New Students): Wednesday, January 28th, 2026 (1 Day)
• Ed-el-Fitr Celebration: Monday, March 16th – Friday, March 20th, 2026 (5 Days)
• Revision Period: Monday, April 6th – Friday, April 10th, 2026 (1 Week)
• Good Friday / Easter Monday: Friday, April 3rd – Monday, April 6th, 2026 (2 Days)
• First Semester Examination: Monday, April 13th – Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 (3 Weeks)
• First Semester Break: Monday, May 4th – Saturday, June 6th, 2026 (5 Weeks)

SECOND SEMESTER

• Resumption/Registration (All UG Students): Monday, June 8th – Saturday, June 13th, 2026 (1 Week)
• Lectures (All UG Students): Monday, June 8th – Saturday, August 29th, 2026 (12 Weeks)
• Democracy Day Celebration: Friday, June 12th, 2026 (1 Day)
• GST Examination: Monday, August 31st – Friday, September 4th, 2026 (1 Week)
• Second Semester Examination: Monday, September 7th – Saturday, September 19th, 2026 (2 Weeks)
• Second Semester Break: Monday, September 21st – Saturday, December 12th, 2026 (12 Weeks)
• Independence Day Celebration: Thursday, October 1st, 2026 (1 Day)
