Unyime Idem Education Scholarship for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam, Akwa Ibom State, 2026/2027

In a major boost to educational advancement, Rep. Unyime Idem, Ph.D., the member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Public Procurement, has announced a comprehensive scholarship program for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The Unyime Idem Education Scholarship Programme will benefit 200 constituents currently pursuing Undergraduate, Masters, and Ph.D. degrees in Nigerian Federal Universities. The scholarship is a full award covering tuition, living expenses, and accommodation.

Eligibility and Approved Courses

The program is strictly for full-time students from the Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency studying any of the following disciplines:

• Sciences
• Engineering
• Economics
• Accounting
• Law
• Computer Science/Engineering

Application Requirements

1. Undergraduate Applicants (200 Level and Above)

• Statement of WAEC/SSCE/NECO results (5 credits including English and Maths, max 2 sittings).
• University Admission Letter and Valid Student ID Card.
• Last school fee receipt and certified Academic Transcripts.
• Certificate of Indigene-ship and NIN card/slip.
• A personal statement (minimum 1,000 words) on reasons for the course of study.

2. Masters Applicants

• Full-time admission letter from a Federal University.
• Minimum of Second Class Lower (2.2); 2.1 is an advantage.
• NYSC Discharge Certificate or Letter of Exemption.
• Valid Student ID, last fee receipt, and Indigene-ship documents.
• A personal statement (minimum 1,000 words).

3. Ph.D. Applicants

• Full-time admission letter and a minimum of "Merit" in a second-degree certificate.
• Academic records showing a minimum of 2.2 in first degree.
• NYSC Certificate/Exemption and Indigene-ship documents.
• A Ph.D. research proposal (maximum 6 pages) in a relevant research area.
