RSUST notice on registration deadline and matriculation of new students, 2025/2026

The Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced the deadline for clearance and registration of newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to an internal memorandum issued by the Acting Registrar, Dame Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the University’s Matriculation Ceremony for fresh students has been scheduled to hold on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in line with the Senate-approved Academic Calendar.

The memo, addressed to Provosts, Deans of Faculties, the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre (ICTC), Heads of Departments, and all Faculty Officers, directed that all fresh students be adequately informed to contact their respective Faculty Officers for clearance and registration within the stipulated period.

The University emphasized that any admission not regularized before the deadline will be considered as having lapsed. It was further stated that the Matriculation Ceremony officially marks the close of the clearance and registration exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session.

RSU management also advised that the information be made available on the University’s website to ensure wide awareness among affected students.

Fresh students are therefore urged to complete all required clearance and registration formalities promptly to avoid forfeiting their admission.
