SAZU notice on refund of registration fees to 2023/2024 NELFUND beneficiaries

The management of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Gadau, has commenced the refund of registration fees for the 2023/2024 academic session to students who are beneficiaries of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

This development was confirmed in an official memo signed by the Acting Bursar, Mr. Ibrahim Abdullahi, CNA, and circulated to all concerned students on Saturday.

According to the memo, the refund process follows the successful reconciliation of the payment ledger for the session by the university’s bursary department. The statement clarified that the specific amount approved for each qualified student is now being remitted directly into their individual bank accounts.

“By this, funds remitted to you from NELFUND has been fully updated and you are cleared,” the notice read, indicating that the financial obligation for the session has been settled for the beneficiaries.

The university administration has urged students who may have enquiries or require clarifications regarding the refunds to contact the Bursary department directly.

This move is expected to provide significant financial relief to the affected students, allowing them to better plan their academic resources following the disbursement of the student loan.
