Saadu Zungur University mandates registration for all student associations
The Student Affairs Division (SAD) at Saβadu Zungur University has issued a directive mandating all Faculty and Departmental Associations to report for official documentation and registration.
In a notice signed by Hussaini Mustapha Abba, Principal Assistant Registrar (SAD), on behalf of the Dean of Student Affairs, the university administration stated that the registration process is essential for "the smooth running of associations within the University."
According to the notice, associations must complete the registration and obtain formal approval from the Student Affairs Division before commencing any activities. The university has warned of consequences for non-compliance, stating that "any association found operating without proper registration will face disciplinary action."
The move is seen as an effort by the university administration to maintain oversight and ensure that all student-led groups operate within the officially recognized framework. The notice did not specify a deadline for registration but urged all concerned associations to comply promptly.
Associations are expected to report to the Student Affairs Division for the necessary procedures.
