On behalf of the Federated Organisation of Sokoto State Students Association (FOSOSSA), the National Body representing the voice of thousands of Sokoto State students across Nigeria and the diaspora wishes to address an important notice.
We have received credible information that some individuals are calling on students of Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto to come along with ₦500 for SOSSA receipt . We hereby state clearly that:
- There is NO officially recognized SOSSA body in Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto. Therefore, no student is required to pay ₦500 or purchase any SOSSA receipt.
- Students are strongly advised to ONLY obtain and submit the Sokoto State Scholarship Form as directed by the Sokoto State Scholarship Board for the verification exercise scheduled for Monday, 13th April 2026.
- Any person or group attempting to collect such money is engaging in unauthorized and fraudulent activity and will face serious consequences.
All students should remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
