MAUTECH SUG update on hostel reservation
The Student Union Government (SUG) of Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has directed students who paid for accommodation but were not allocated bed spaces to report for payment authentication.
In a statement issued on Monday and signed by President Sen. Yazeed Bello, the SUG explained that the exercise became necessary following the temporary suspension of the bed space allocation exercise. Affected students are to proceed to the Student Centre, Office of the Students' Union Government, with the original copy of their accommodation policy document and one photocopy.
The authentication process is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 3rd March, 2026, after which verified students will be allocated bed spaces in their designated hostels.
The union, however, issued a strong warning that any hostel reservations made after the online portal was closed on 20th February, 2026, would not be considered valid.
Following successful authentication, students whose reservations are confirmed will be issued allocation permits, allowing them to proceed to the University Microfinance Bank for payment of accommodation fees. The SUG stated that details regarding the mode and schedule for permit collection would be communicated in due course.
The university management, through the SUG, expressed appreciation for the patience and cooperation demonstrated by students throughout the exercise.
