MAUTECH SUG suspends National Association of Food Science and Technology MAU Yola, chapter.

The SUG Modibbo Adama University Yola has announced the immediate suspension of National Association of Food Science and Technology MAU Yola chapter, following allegged irregularities in the association's recent electoral process.

The decision, backed by article 9, section 35, sub-section 8 of the SUG constitution was made after a formal petition cited several breaches in the electoral process.

Key issues raised in the petition include, improper constitution of the electoral committee, biased nomination of electoral members by the outgoing executives and delayed announcement of election results, violating article 12, section 58 (6), which mandates result declaration within 24hours.

In line with the constitutional provision (Article 9, section 42, sub-section 1), an investigative panel has been inaugurated to probe the situation and recommend appropriate corrective measures
