TASU notice to new students on medical examination schedule

Obinna 4 months ago

The Health Services Department of Taraba State University (TSU), Jalingo, has announced a new faculty-based timetable for medical examinations of newly admitted students.

According to a statement issued by the university clinic, the decision was taken following observations that new students experience excessive stress due to prolonged queuing during medical examinations and registration. The clinic also noted persistent overcrowding, which has affected the smooth conduct of the exercise.

To address these challenges, the university management has resolved that medical examinations will henceforth be conducted according to faculties, with specific dates assigned to each faculty.

The schedule is as follows:

Faculty of Agriculture: January 15–17, 2026

Faculty of Arts: January 19–21, 2026

Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence: January 22–24, 2026

Faculty of Education: January 26–28, 2026

Faculty of Engineering: January 29–31, 2026

Faculty of Health Sciences: February 2–4, 2026

Faculty of Management Sciences: February 5–7, 2026

Faculty of Media and Communication: February 9–11, 2026

Faculty of Religious Studies: February 12–14, 2026

Faculty of Sciences: February 16–18, 2026

Faculty of Social Sciences: February 19–21, 2026

The university authorities have strongly advised all new students to strictly adhere to the approved timetable to ensure a smooth and orderly medical examination process.

The notice was signed by Dr. Isaiah Hunuato, PMO I/C, University Health Services (UHS), Taraba State University.
