Taraba State University, Jalingo, has announced an immediate ban on the popular final year student celebration known as the “Signing Out Fan Fair Frenzy.”This decision was approved by the University Senate during its 72nd regular meeting held on 11th June 2025, and formally communicated through a memorandum issued by the Registrar, Dr. Joseph U. Bibinu.

‎According to the directive, the university has observed increasing concerns over the nature and conduct of the so-called “signing out” celebrations, which have often led to public disturbances and safety risks. In response, the Senate has resolved to prohibit the activity across the campus and its environs.

‎ “Any student found contravening this ban will face severe disciplinary action in accordance with the university’s guidelines,” the Registrar warned in the memo.

‎The ban is aimed at preserving the university’s academic integrity, maintaining discipline, and ensuring the safety of students and the university community at large.

‎All students, student bodies, and campus organizations are urged to take note of the new directive and comply fully. University authorities have been tasked with disseminating the information to ensure broad awareness.

‎Taraba State University remains committed to promoting academic excellence and a safe, disciplined learning environment for all. Thank you!
