President Tinubu Approves 7 New Tertiary Institutions for Nigeria

In a recent move that underscores its unwavering commitment to the development of education in Nigeria, the Federal Government has approved the immediate establishment of seven new tertiary institutions. This announcement comes as part of the administration’s broader agenda to foster continuity in governance, uphold policy consistency, and bolster the nation’s educational framework.

A Proactive Approach to Higher Education

Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), the administration has taken a significant step to expand the horizons of tertiary education in Nigeria. Specifically, four existing Colleges of Education will be upgraded to Federal Universities of Education. This is in addition to the establishment of two new Federal Universities focusing on Medical and Health Sciences and Agriculture, and the introduction of five brand-new Colleges of Education.

  • Federal College of Education, Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti State
  • Federal College of Education, Ididep, Ibiono, Akwa Ibom State
  • Federal College of Education (Technical), Yauri, Kebbi State
