University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (UAST), Ihugh school fees, 2025/2026
The University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (UAST), Ihugh, through the Office of the Bursar, has officially released the approved user and service-based charges for fresh undergraduate learners for the 2025/2026 academic session.
The university informed all prospective and newly admitted students that the online Post-UTME screening exercise is currently ongoing and will close on Friday, 30th January 2026.
According to the notice, registration activities for candidates who successfully pass the screening exercise will commence on Monday, 16th February 2026 and end on Friday, 27th February 2026. Management warned that late registration will attract an additional surcharge of ten percent (10%) of the approved charges.
The approved charges followed deliberations at a meeting of Principal Officers, Deans, and Directors. The Vice-Chancellor, acting on behalf of the University Senate, granted approval for the implementation of the new service-based charges based on programme categories.

Group A
Non-Laboratory / Non-Workshop Programmes
- Benue State Indigenes: ₦265,000
- Non-Benue State Indigenes: ₦365,000
Group B
Laboratory / Field-Based Programmes (Sciences and Agriculture)
- Benue State Indigenes: ₦310,000
- Non-Benue State Indigenes: ₦425,000
Group C
Engineering and Computing (Workshop/Studio Intensive)
- Benue State Indigenes: ₦340,000
- Non-Benue State Indigenes: ₦455,000
The approved fees cover a range of academic and service components, including examination levy, library services, ICT and e-learning facilities, medical services, laboratory and workshop charges, accreditation levies, utilities, health insurance, departmental and school registration fees. Tuition remains ₦0.00 for all categories.
To ease financial burden on learners, the university approved a split payment option:
- 70% payable upon resumption or at registration
- 30% payable by the middle of the academic session
In addition, the university announced a 5% Early Payment Discount for learners who pay the full sessional fee before the official resumption date. According to management, the initiative is aimed at encouraging financial planning and improving campus logistics.
Learners have been strongly advised to adhere strictly to payment timelines to retain their course registration and examination eligibility. Failure to meet approved deadlines may result in loss of academic privileges.
All payments must be initiated exclusively through the University’s official payment portal and completed via approved bank channels. The university will publish step-by-step payment instructions and a list of designated banks to guide learners.
The institution emphasized that it does not accept cash payments to individuals under any circumstance. Learners are advised to disregard unauthorized payment requests.
Accommodation is optional and charged separately. The approved cost for a standard bed-space is ₦160,000.
The notice was formally endorsed by the Office of the Bursar.
