UI Opens Accommodation Portal for 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Student Affairs Division of the University of Ibadan (UI) has announced the opening of applications for accommodation in the undergraduate Halls of Residence for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

According to the notice, the accommodation module on the university portal will be accessible to fresh and final-year undergraduate students from February 17 to February 23, 2026. Only students who apply through the portal within the specified period will be eligible for allocation of spaces in the Halls of Residence.

Other returning undergraduate students (non-final year students) and postgraduate students will be granted access to the accommodation module at a later date.

Interested students are required to log in to the Student Affairs portal at https://student-portal.ui.edu.ng/login and click on the “Hall” button on the dashboard. Applicants should select “Hall Application” and complete the required form.

Students must upload a recent passport photograph with a white background (not exceeding 1MB) and provide necessary details including next-of-kin information, accommodation history, and any health challenges.

Returning students will be required to confirm their Jaja registration status. Only students whose Jaja registration is verified in the university database will be allowed to proceed with the application. Fresh students, however, will not be required to provide Jaja registration details.

Applicants are advised to ensure they click the “Submit” button to complete the application process and regularly check the “Hall Allocation” page for updates from the Hall Warden.

Payment and Room Allocation

Once an application is approved by the Hall Warden, the applicant’s status will change from “Registered” to “Accepted.” Students are then required to pay their Hall Fee and Basic Hall Dues through the university portal.

Payment of Basic Hall Dues is compulsory, while Optional Hall Dues are at the discretion of the student. Upon confirmation of payment, the status will change to “Paid,” and a room will be assigned by the Hall Warden.

Students are expected to print their Accommodation Slip and Hall Identity Card in colour. Room keys will only be issued upon presentation of these documents.
