UI receives NUC accreditation for 27 undergraduate programs

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 27 undergraduate programs across seven faculties at the University of Ibadan.

This was contained in a letter signed by the office of the Executive Secretary of the NUC,  Professor Abubakar Rasheed to the institution's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Kayode Adebowale on Wednesday, May 4.

The programs were approved after an accreditation exercise by the NUC in October/November 2021 and will last for the next five years.

The fully accredited courses include German, Igbo, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy and Theatre Arts, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiology, Physiotherapy, and Environmental Health Science.

Others are Computer Science and Geology, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial and Production Engineering, Wood Products Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Early Childhood Education, Arabic Education, Economics Education, Islamic Studies; Health Education, and Human Kinetics.
