UI school clinic shut down over COVID-19 scare

The University of Ibadan (UI) clinic has been temporarily closed down after a patient tested positive for Coronavirus on Tuesday, 15 December.

The university spokesperson, Olatunji Oladejo revealed that the clinic will be closed for seven days following a confirmed COVID-19 case. Though no name was given, it was however learned that the patient first visited the clinic on December 11, but was admitted overnight between Sunday and Monday.

The Oyo State Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) has been notified, and the premises have been decontaminated.
