UMYU Extends Screening Exercise for Newly Admitted Students

The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU), Katsina, has approved an extension of the screening exercise for candidates admitted into its various undergraduate programmes.

According to the official announcement, the screening period has been extended by thirteen (13) working days, with effect from Monday, 12 January to Friday, 30 January 2026.

All candidates who have been offered admission but are yet to participate in the screening exercise are advised to take advantage of this extension. Affected candidates are required to accept their admission, pay the acceptance fee, print their admission letter, and report for screening within the approved period.

Documents Required for Screening

Candidates are to present the following documents during the screening exercise:

  1. University admission letter

  2. JAMB result slip (for UTME candidates)

  3. Direct Entry (DE) slip (for DE candidates)

  4. O’ Level result(s) and A’ Level result(s), where applicable

  5. Scratch card or original certificate of the O’ Level examination(s) for online verification

Candidates are encouraged to comply strictly with the instructions and ensure they complete the screening process within the stipulated timeframe.
