UNN SUG directs students to halt school fees payment
The Executive Council of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) at the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), has issued an urgent directive to all students to cease school fee payments effective immediately.
The official statement, signed by the Union President, Comrade Okolo Bethel Chinwugo, and the Secretary General, Comrade Jumbo Princess Omezikam, cites significant discrepancies in the current school portal figures as the reason for this freeze.
The Issue: The SUG discovered that the fee amounts currently displayed on the university payment portal do not align with the 60% agreement previously reached between the student body and the school management.
The Action Required: All students are strictly advised not to make any payments or rely on any assumptions regarding the current fees until the matter is rectified.
The Goal: The Union is currently working to ensure that the agreed-upon terms are accurately reflected on the portal to prevent students from being overcharged.
The SUG leadership urges the student community to remain compliant and patient. They have assured the public that official updates will be communicated as soon as the portal resolution is finalized.
"In view of this discrepancy, no student should make any payment or rely on any assumptions regarding fees until the matter is fully resolved and an official update is communicated by the SUG."
