UNIABUJA Centre for Security Studies (CSS), Postgraduate admission, 2025/2026

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the postgraduate programmes of the Centre for Security Studies (CSS), University of Abuja, for the 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The Centre for Security Studies (CSS) is a leading Centre in Nigeria and Africa offering innovative multidisciplinary postgraduate education, research and capacity building in security studies. The Centre provides a range of academic and executive education programmes designed for security, intelligence, law enforcement, military and para-military professionals, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders interested in national security and development.

- Postgraduate Diploma in National Security (PGD Nat. Sec.)

- M.Sc. National Security Studies

- M.Sc. Intelligence and Security Studies

- M.Sc. Peace, Conflict and Development Studies

- M.Sc. Criminology and Strategic Studies

- M.Sc. Cybersecurity and Intelligence

- M.Sc. Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Studies

- Master in National Security Administration (MiNSA)

- Master in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice (MiLECJ)

- Master in Intelligence and Global Security (MiGS)

Admission Requirements:

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD):

Candidates must hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree (minimum of 3rd Class) in any discipline or HND with at least Lower Credit from a recognized institution. Relevant working experience may be an added advantage.

Master’s Programmes (Academic and Professional):

Candidates must hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree (Second Class Lower) or a Postgraduate Diploma in a related field from a recognized university. Relevant working experience is an added advantage.

Duration:

- PGD: Minimum of 12 months (2 Semesters)  

- Master’s: Minimum of 18 months (3 Semesters)
