UNIBEN announces 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony, issues directive on collection of Matriculation gowns

Management has approved Wednesday 28th January, 2026 for the 2025/2026 Matriculation Ceremony. To this end, Faculty Officers are to collect the academic outfits from the ceremonial stores behind the University Basement for their various faculties from Thursday 22nd to Monday 26th January, 2026.

Faculty Officers should ensure that the academic outfits are retrieved and returned to the points of collection from Wednesday 4th February, 2026, accompanied with the list of defaulters who should, thereafter, be referred to Room 19, Publications and Documentation Unit, Vice Chancellor’s Office for the payment of late return fines.

Schedule for Distribution:

1. Thursday 22nd January, 2026 - 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

    - Faculties of Arts, I.P.A.E.S, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Pharmacy, Industry, School of Basic Clinical Sciences, Institute of Education.

2. Friday 23rd January, 2026 - 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

    - Faculties of Education, School of Basic Medical Sciences, Engineering, Law, Life Sciences, Management Sciences, Medicine, Distant Learning.

3. Monday 26th January, 2026 - 9.00 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.

    - Faculties of Physical Sciences, Technical & Vocational Education, Communication and Media Studies, Computing and Information Sciences, Social Sciences, Nursing Sciences, Optometry, Science Laboratory Technology, Veterinary Medicine.
