UNIBEN notice on resumption of academic activities

Senate of the University at its Emergency (Virtual) Meeting held today 10 March, 2023 reviewed the recent development with respect to the directive of th Federal Government on closure of Universities nationwide to facilitate participation in the 2023 General Elections. Senate noted that INEC has postponed the conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly elections by week, from the previous Saturday 11 March, 2023 to Saturday 18 March 2023.

After due deliberation, Senate decided that the University should remain close for academic activities for one additional week till Tuesday 21st March, 202 Students resident on campus are expected back in the Hostels on that day Normal academic activities resume fully on Wednesday 22 March, 2023.

Members of Staff and Students are to note the above decision of Senate ft compliance as appropriate.
