UNIBEN Post-UTME/DE 2025: Cut-off mark, Eligibility and Registration Details

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Post UTME (PUTME) and Post Direct Entry (PUDE) Admission Screening Exercise for the 2025/2026 Academic Session is scheduled to hold between Monday 1st September 2025 and Saturday 6th September 2025 in designated centres within Ugbowo Campus of the University.

The screening exercise shall be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT). Do not forget you need the official Post-UTME past questions for UNIBEN to prepare adequately for the screening exercise. Click here now to get yours. This will enable you to prepare adequately for the screening.

Candidates are expected to fulfill the following criteria:
a. Only candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2025/2026 UTME and DIRECT ENTRY Admission, chose the University of Benin as their First Choice, and scored 200 and above (for UTME Candidates) are eligible for this Screening Exercise. 

b. Obtained at least Five (5) credit passes at GCE O/L, SSCE, NECO, or their equivalent. The subjects must include English Language, and Mathematics (for courses for which a credit in mathematics is required) and three other relevant subjects (four if excluding mathematics); at not more than two sittings.

c. Candidates are advised to have a valid e-mail account before commencing the application process.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

• All applications should be made between 8.00 a.m. on Monday 4th August 2025 and Midnight of Friday 22nd August 2025. 

The procedure for the 2025/2026 Admission Screening (Post UTME and Post Direct Entry) Application is as follows:

1. Visit http://www.uniben.edu

2. Click on the Application Menu

3. Read the instructions and Click/Tap Here to proceed

4. Read the instructions carefully and click at the bottom of the page “Begin Application Process”

5. Enter your JAMB Registration Number, JAMB Score and Set your Password

6. Login with your User Id (JAMB Registration No.) and your Password to begin your application

7. Supply the required information

8. To pay for the Application, Click on “Pay with Remita” button. Follow the instructions to pay the application Screening Fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00) only (Excluding Portal Access Charges), using a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria

9. Preview and confirm your information before submitting your application online (No correction will be accepted after submission). 

10. Go back online on the appointed date to print out the acknowledgment slip that contains your specific screening schedule

a. CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO GO BACK ONLINE AS FROM WEDNESDAY 27TH AUGUST 2025 TO CHECK FOR THEIR SPECIFIC DAY, VENUE AND TIME FOR THE SCREENING.

b. ALL CANDIDATES ARE EXPECTED TO BE SEATED, LATEST ONE HOUR BEFORE THE STIPULATED TIME FOR THEIR SCREENING EXERCISE.

c. MOBILE PHONES AND CALCULATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED

Candidates are to come to the Screening Centre with the following:

i. Acknowledgment slip

ii. Screening Invitation Slip that contains the screening schedule

Application Closing Date:

• Application website closes by Midnight of Friday 22nd August 2025 (i.e., all applications must be concluded online not later than Friday 22nd August 2025). Candidates, who pay after the deadline of Midnight of Friday 22nd August 2025 will not be screened.
